The OANDA Prop Trader Program allows traders with limited capital to trade using an OANDA Prop Trader account and receive profit sharing on their trading performance.

OANDA has created proprietary trading models that use the trading signals produced by OANDA Prop Traders to make decisions about placing trades in the market.

Because our capital is also at risk, OANDA asks potential OANDA Prop Traders to complete a challenge to qualify for the program and demonstrate an ability to generate profits and manage risk.

The capital provided in the OANDA Prop Trader account is virtual, but traders are entitled to a 80% share of their profits. OANDA Prop Traders get access to our technology to help them apply their trading skills to generate profits.

We ask potential traders to pass a two-phase Challenge using a demo account to qualify. In the Challenge, traders must trade following rules and meet several objectives. Anyone aged 18 and over from our approved list of countries can take a Challenge and qualify as an OANDA Prop Trader.

There’s a fee to join the program, and the most popular is the gold challenge, where for a fee of $699, you get to use $100K of our virtual capital.

There are no minimum trading days to qualify. A leverage of 100:1 is allowed

If you pass the Challenge, the second step is a verification stage, where you provide your ID and proof of address, and we conduct a liveness check. You must also open a trading account with OANDA Global Markets, where the P&L share will be paid.

Prop traders receive their profit share AND a refund of their challenge fees on the first payout in their OANDA Global Markets' account.
